Kinja'd!!!

So a good friend of mine is fortunate enough to own 6 of 7 of these cars. The grey Porsche isn't his. But we all met up at Button Willow Raceway this past friday and spent the day enjoying these cars. I have some videos I can post later but I figured I would share some pics.

Ask me about any of the cars you want. I will do my best to answer questions.

I will start by saying that the Vette is amazing. It sounds so good. This one has the automatic trans (which after about 4 hours of being driven around the track at 100 degree weather was not happy with us, and threw an overheating warning on the dash and had to cool for about 30-45 mins) but it also has the Z51 package with that exhaust and it sounds incredible.

The trans in the Vette is no where near as nice on the track as the one in the Lambo. It is slow to shift at times and it sometimes won't shift when you want it too. There were a couple times when I wanted to downshift for a turn after a straight and when I pulled the paddle the screen just said "Shift Detected" or "Shift Declined" but wouldn't shift. Obviously the Vette is a little more street oriented than any of the other cars, but i was still not impressed with the trans.

Your friend is a fucking badass.

Also, the Lambo is too good for your decision making!

I think you should ask your friend for rides more often... I sure as hell would.

Well we take them out driving "regularly"....But this was the first time we took them to a track. And by first time I mean my first time with him. He's gone a couple times before.

I think this might be going too far, but I would ask (futilely), to drive it for a few days. Can't hurt to ask haha.

I love that gen Viper especially with the yellow wheels. Which would you pick of the group to have for your own? I'm thinking mine would be the GT followed by the viper then the 355

Thats a tough one. We always say that the lambo is the car that picks up chicks, but the Ford is the one that all the guys flock too. The ford is incredible but it is the car that requires the most concentration to drive. On the streets it is so wide and has such horrible visibility that it is difficult to live with, and on the track it'll spin its tires coming out of a slow turn in 2nd, 3rd, and probably 4th if you put your foot down. But there is something special about it that none of the other cars can provide.

Lol. That may be. On the track the Lambo is amazing. Around town the trans has the same issue as many early paddle shift transmissions. It is clunky. It really comes into its own when your foot is on the floor and you are wanting quick shifts.

Its a tough one. I would probably go Lambo or 360 as my "daily driver". Both of those are easiest to manage around town and on a day to day basis. The Ford though is by far the most special and it would be hard to not pick that one.

Yeah that makes sense, anything but balls-to-the-wall driving means clunkiness.

Viper = Scary. It really is a handful. It hits its "edge" at not very high speeds, and there is little warning that you are at the limit before you're sideways and in the dirt.

The F355 is like a go kart. Not the fastest car, but it handles so well.

I will also say that both Ferraris have gated manual shifters which are amazing to drive and shift.

Ah I see. Cause when (if) I win the lotto me and my father are buying two. Or He gets one and I get a used old Gallardo. with a 6 speed

I've heard that about the Viper, but it does nothing to temper my desire for one. It might be the 90s-tastic look, I'm not sure. That's a first-gen, right? So it doesn't even have door handles? That's my kind of supercar.

It's a long-standing dream of mine to drive a car with a gated shifter. Jealous!

I did drive them all. Describe "Fun". I mean it was a track day with 7 really fast cars so the entire day was fun....

I would say that highest top speed went to the Ford GT at 140mph, with the Vette a close second at 135mph.

The Carrera was probably the best handling, but it was very close between that and the Lambo.

The two Ferrari's handle very well and both being convertibles meant you could truly hear those glorious engines scream when you put your foot down. Plus the gated shifters made for a unique experience.

The viper is terrifying, but fun in a "I'm cheating death" sort of way.

Yea its a first gen. It was my friends first "super car" he ever owned and he will never get rid of it. The V10 has a very interesting sound too. It truly is a fun car to drive on a track where it is wide open and you have no risk of killing it if you spin...Which I didn't do because I never pushed it that hard, but it happened once on Friday.
